Here we go: The Twetch platform relies heavily on server-side indexing of onchain transactions. As do most other blockchain services at this point including ordinals. While Twetch does allow for decentralised transaction verification, and control over my NFTs, it does not give me control over my identity. Their server goes down, their transaction map goes down, and large parts of my Twetch identity go down with it. And there is another issue with this: Server-side off-chain indexing probably does not scale well. It does not have to be this way. Bitcoin can be the plumbing of an internet where you build identities around transactions, and you own your transaction map yourself. I like to imagine a Twetch phone storing your keys, managing your wallet and identities. If you need buzzwords, take simplified payment verification, zero-knowledge proofs and what is 21e8. @1 and the Twetch team built this platform in the only viable way for now. He is aware of all it could be, and you should be too.
